The hotel is next door to possibly the best pub in the Newcastle area I would be lying if I said this didn't influence my choice.

Because of a medical condition I take medication daily, the lack of any form of drinking vessel in the room made this difficult.

it was cheap, clean, available at short notice, and quiet.

it is not a luxury place and the courtyard out the window was in a state but it does what matters well

The curtains don't fit they are too short, outside the window there is old sofas and dirt all over it was disgusting. The bathroom door made a loud click when opening. No kettle in the rooms.

It was a compact room - perfect for a solo visitor for a short visit.

It's bare on extras - but I wasn't expecting this.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The reception staff (different person from the one when I stayed last time) is friendly and handle the check-in quickly. The room is the third floor which has real window and a desk, which is much better, same as the photo shown in the website.

Only has one toiler roll, and extra one should be better to provide.

Thank you to the staff, they gave me an upgrade on my room.

The shower rooms are really nice, that's my favourite thing about this place.

I have been staying here for years now, since it was Tune, but it seems to be getting steadily worse. The fact there is no kettle in the room has always been a grievance. The heating system never seems to work properly, it won't stay at the temperature you set it at. The standard of cleaning has always been hit and miss, though to be fair it was pretty good this time. There used to be a table and chair in the rooms, but first of all they took the chairs away and now the table has gone too. My room this time was a completely bare room with a bed and one coat hanger, that was it. The beds used to be really comfortable but they're not any more because the mattresses have been heavily used for years and never replaced. On this occasion there was a very long queue to check in because there was only one member of staff on duty, when in the past there would probably have been two. And when I checked out there were no staff visible anywhere and no apparent way of calling them. Several guests were waiting around the desk and then giving up. At the price I paid on a cheap night, these irritations are bearable, but at the crazy prices this place charges now on busy nights, I reckon people must be feeling ripped off.

The location is so good for a night out down quayside. Bathroom was small but great shower and very nicely done.z

Tiny elevator, no restaurant or bar. Fire alarm being set off repeatedly throughout the night.
